Rockstar Games’ Max Payne 3 may not be releasing in March anymore, but it’s still coming in another M month. The official word from the publisher is that the third installment in the Max Payne series is coming to U.S. shores May 15 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. PC gamers will wait another two weeks before the game is available on Games for Windows May 29.

The game will feature multiplayer for the first time in series history and goes Man on Fire with Payne. The detective who popularized Bullet Time is working for a Brazilian member of the 1 Percent, Rodrigo Branco, in an attempt to forget his sordid past. Things go awry when Branco’s wife is kidnapped and Max is thrust into the streets of São Paulo, gun in hand.
