MechWarrior Online Gets a New Major Patch, a New Mech and a New Trailer

on March 23, 2013 3:23 PM

While still formally in Open Beta Mechwarrior Online is seeing a lot of progress lately, with a steady flow of patches and additions. Piranha Games just implemented patch 1.2.204 that seems to be another major milestone for the game, adding a new mech (the rather popular JagerMech, in three variants),  the new Tourmaline Desert map, new control options, and new customization options in the form of a new camo and three new cockpit items.

They also added something that proved quite a bit more controversial within the community, with the inclusion of a consumable system that helps quite a lot in keeping heat in check (and those that play the game know how important heat management can be). You can find the full patch notes here.

last but not least the developer also released a new gameplay trailer, that as usual gives us a good glimpse on the utter destruction that stays at the core of the game. You can check it out below.
