With controversy looming over the next Medal of Honor game due to its Middle Eastern settings and plot, EA is sure to get a good boost of sales and reserves, right? According to the company’s statement it does. The upcoming Medal of Honor has set the highest presales record than any of their other games in the franchise, which started in 2009. With these numbers, EA says that this puts their upcoming title in the upper ranks with their other action heavy games.

With its October 12th release date just around the corner, Medal of Honor will only be released as Limited Edition with some perks to go along with it. Some of these perks include an early access to DICE’s Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta, early access to two in-game shotguns and an exclusive weapon. Those who buy it for the PlayStation 3 will also get a free copy of Battlefield Frontline and add it to their collection.

Medal of Honor will be released for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
