If there is a game many wouldn’t expect to see at the very top of the Media Create charts for the Japanese market, that’s Funcom’s Conan Exiles. Well… it happened.

Below you can check out the software chart related to the period between August 20th and August 28th, 2018. As usual, the first number for each game represents sales in the target week, and the second is lifetime sales.

Conan Exiles at the top of the chart is certainly a surprise, but the game was marketed quite heavily in Japan by local publisher Spike Chunsoft. On top of that, open-world survival and nudity are certainly two elements that can help the popularity of a game in the country.

My Hero One’s Justice also had a fairly decent debut, even if considering the franchise’s popularity it’s probably not really groundbreaking.

It’ll be interesting to read Media Create’s own analysis which will come on Friday.
