Mediatonic to Open Studio in Leamington Spa, Aims to Build a Team of 60
Mediatonic has announced that they're opening a new office in Leamington Spa, UK and will be looking to build a team of 60.
Mediatonic, a video game development studio that’s based in London, UK has announced that it’s to open a new studio in Leamington Spa, bringing at least 60 jobs to the Warwickshire region in the UK.
Announced over the weekend during an Interactive Futures event that took place at the Royal Spa Centre, Mediatonic has plans to grow their team to a “60-strong team” by 2022. The developer has a focus on filling art and engineering roles first.
“Mediatonic has a presence in many of the largest gaming hubs in the UK, including London, Brighton and Guildford, so we’re delighted to have the chance to make positive connections in what is arguably the UK’s capital of video game development, Leamington Spa” Phil Warner, head of art at Mediatonic said.
Leamington Spa is home to Ubisoft Leamington which was formerly known as FreeStyleGames Limited. It’s also the home for two of Playground Games’ studios, Hardlight, and one of Epic Games’ UK offices.
Mediatonic, which was founded back in 2005, has been behind games such as Gears POP! Fable Fortune, Hatoful Boyfriend, and Fall Guys which was revealed by the publisher, Devolver Digital last year. The developer already has offices in London, Brighton, and Madrid, with over 220 developers across them all.
