MediEvil PS4 Remake Has Gone Gold

Other Ocean has announced that work on MediEvil has now been completed.

Ahead of the launch of the PS4 remake of MediEvil next month, today it was announced that the game has gone gold.

Developer Other Ocean Interactive shared the news on Twitter today by releasing an image of the finalized version of MediEvil that had been printed onto a disc. “It’s the little things,” said the caption of the photo. Based on the date seen on the disc, it seems as though the completed build of MediEvil was wrapped up this past weekend on September 14.

For those that have been eager to return to the world of MediEvil, it is surely exciting to know that the game will be hitting its launch date next month. We’ve known about the MediEvil PS4 remake for nearly two years at this point and the path to release has been somewhat long. The game was originally announced back at PlayStation Experience in 2017. News on the project went completely silent though until October of last year when we finally saw what it looked like. Finally, Sony ended up revealing MediEvil’s release date alongside a new trailer earlier this year during a State of Play live stream.

We’ll have to wait and see if the long road to release was worth it though when MediEvil hits PS4 on October 25. We should have a review of the game for you here on DualShockers later this year, but it likely won’t come until a bit after launch.
