Marvel’s Phase 4 has had a strong start with the debut of Black Widow this month, Natasha Romanoff’s swan song performance, and now we look ahead to the myriad of female superheroes who will make this next phase unforgettable

From the imminent Disney+ show Hawkeye to Okoye’s untitled project, here is a rundown of the future female Marvel superheroes.

Kate Bishop - Hawkeye (Late 2021)

Hailee Steinfeld will appear opposite Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton in the upcoming Disney+ show, as he passes the Hawkeye mantle to the young Kate Bishop while he assumes the role of Ronin.

Monica Rambeau - The Marvels (November 11, 2022)

Introduced in WandaVision, Teyonah Parris will return as Monica Rambeau in this Captain Marvel sequel, to reunite with Carol Danvers and possibly take up the Photon alias.

Kamala Khan - Ms. Marvel (Late 2021)

Iman Vellani will portray the inhuman teen in the upcoming Disney+ show, and Kevin Feige has also promised fans that she will make an appearance in upcoming MCU films too.

Captain Carter - What If…? (August 11, 2021)

The next Marvel show to take our post-Loki blues away will be the animated series What If…?, featuring an alternate MCU timeline.

Hayley Atwell will be returning to voice Agent Peggy Carter, who we know will transform into Captain Carter.

Thena - Eternals (November 5, 2021)

Angelina Jolie is at the helm of this new wave of Earth defenders, set to be the next large group of superheroes to take over from the Avengers.

The first teaser trailer didn’t reveal much about Thena, but her sword makes an appearance that is meant to be an entirely original weapon.

Despite denying the rumors for long enough, it was confirmed that Tatiana Maslany would be portraying Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters in the upcoming series.

Yelena Belova - Hawkeye (Late 2021)

While Black Widow said goodbye to Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff, it welcomed Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, who has since become a fan-favorite character.

Belova will return in Hawkeye to provide a narrative regarding Clint and Natasha’s past.
