Today, during a livestream from SegaFes in Akihabara, Tokyo, Sega showcased a short teaser trailer for the newly-announced Mega Drive Mini.

The new mini-console, apparently quite similar to the SNES and NES Classic Mini from Nintendo is still partly shrouded in mystery.

We don't know how many or which games will be included in the package, nor its release date or price. All we know for the moment is that it's coming in 2018. According to Sega Sammy President Haruki Satomi, more news are going to come down the line.

You can check out the trailer below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy the original announcement, that came alongside Shenmue I & II for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Sega Ages for Nintendo Switch, and a brand new (and still mostly unknown) Sakura Taisen game.

Of course, as soon as Sega shares more about the Mega Drive Mini, we'll let you know, but for now we'll have to wait.
