The Mega Man Legacy Collection is already out on some consoles, but the Nintendo 3DS version is not due out until earl 2016. However, for some fans, the wait may be justified by some exclusive content coming to the system. Capcom has officially revealed that the Mega Man amiibo will be supported in the game. Scanning the amiibo will unlock ten new stages in challenge mode.
However, the stages have not yet been revealed because Capcom is running a contest to allow fans to make their own challenge courses. Using videos of Mega Man gameplay footage, players are asked to submit sections of gameplay they would string together to create a challenge map. Players will be able to cross over sections from several games, as well as indicate what weapons Mega Man can use.
Ten winners will be selected by a panel of Capcom staff based on overall quality and how well the challenge compliments the existing challenge list. So try to be creative and think of challenges that have some kind of running theme or motif.
All ten winning submissions will be made into challenges in the Nintendo 3DS version of Mega Man Legacy Collection, which will release in early 2016.
