You heard that right; after making a big deal about how integral the fans were to the development of Mega Man Legends 3, Capcom has for some reason or another decided to cancel it altogether and halt development ASAP.

Yep, even after urging loyal fans to vote for the design of Mega Man, and stating just a couple months ago that they'd be releasing an early build of MML3 on the eShop later this summer to determine the popularity of the franchise, Capcom thought it'd be smart to just nix those plans altogether and move on from the Legends franchise.

Although Capcom mentions in its announcement that they have no plans to kill off the Mega Man franchise and still seek to create titles, the cancellation of both this and Mega Man Universe do not bode well for the Blue Bomber. Let's hope we'll hear some decidedly sunnier news regarding the franchise soon, because if I know my loyal video game fans, they are utterly pissed right now and out for blood.
