Inafune sure did make a splash when he departed from Capcom last week. His explanation answered many questions but rose even more. One game directly affected by this departure is Mega Man Legends 3, an upcoming Nintendo 3DS game, where Inafune would have acted as a producer. The team behind it assures us that the game will be awesome regardless:
“We realise that events of the past few days have given many of you great cause for concern, and we apologise for taking so long to get back to you. We have been reading all of your comments from the past few days, many of them expressions of anxiety and many of encouragement.Honestly, though many of us are still a little dazed and confused about all of this, the ‘can-do’ fire inside us is still burning as hot as ever! Not only will the dev team continue on with Legends 3 Project, we will push forward even harder than before to complete Mega Man Legends 3! Together, let’s make the best Mega Man Legends ever!”
It’s inspiring to see such optimistic attitudes in the face of such peril. I know good and well that quality teams, and not just celebrity developers, make all good dames what they are. I look forward to Mega Man Legends 3, which will hit the 3DS sometime next year.
