The Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, which was set to debut on January 21st, 2020, has been officially delayed by Capcom. Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, Mega Man series producer, revealed the news himself in a new video posted to the Mega Man YouTube account. The delay was also announced on the Capcom Unity blog:

Its new release is currently set for February 25th, 2020 instead. According to Tsuchiya, "the team behind Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is working hard to deliver the best experience possible and wants to bring you a product that will live up to your expectations." He continues on to thank fans for their continued support and reiterates that the developers are committed to giving players the best possible experience once the game launches in February for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Titles in the collection will feature a Casual Scenario Mode that reduces the lethality of traps, as well as a Save-Assist mode that will have save points within missions. The collection also features new songs, as well as an art gallery featuring 600 pieces of production art from the games, a music player, and optional graphics and interface options (such as allowing players to choose between the original sprite work for these Inti Creates classics as well as a new filter that smooths out the graphics to be in HD).

There will also be an all-new speed-run mode. It’s called "Z Chaser," and it comes complete with an online leaderboard, so you’ll be able to measure your skills against the very best. Unfortunately, it doesn't feature the ability for players to go head-to-head with friends in online play.

The previous game, Mega Man 11had strong sales according to Capcom’s financial results last year. Meanwhile you can listen to the soundtracks from the franchise for free on Spotify or you can purchase the entire music collection on a gorgeous vinyl set.
