As part of Pokemon GO's new Charge Up event, we are getting what feels like our hundredth raid boss change since the beginning of March.

This time out, however, there are some new Pokemon that players should get very excited about.

For the first time ever, both Tynamo (and its evolutions) and Mega Manectric will be gracing us with their presence in Pokemon GO.

With that in mind, let's check out if Mega Manectric has a weakness and how to take it down in Pokemon GO.

Mega Manectric Weakness Pokemon GO

Mega Manectric is definitely one of the best looking Mega Pokemon within the game and is a pure Electric-type monster. This means that the best, and only, type of Pokemon you want to bring along to Mega Manectric raids is Ground.

Best Counters For Mega Manectric Weakness

With there being no Ground-type Mega Evolutions in Pokemon GO, it's best not to consider bringing any Mega Pokemon for this battle.

As mentioned, the only Pokemon who can take advantage of Mega Manectric's weakness is Ground-types. Therefore, players should bring Rhyperior, Excadrill, Garchomp, Groudon and Landorus from this typeset. While these are the top counters, any strong Ground-type Pokemon with Ground-type moves will do a good job here. This includes the likes of Golem, Golurk, Mamoswine, Donphan and Krookodile.

Players can expect a very tough battle from Mega Manectric and it's recommended that players gather in groups of 5+ to take down the Pokemon.
