Idea Factory International released new screenshots for their upcoming Nep-centric RPG Megadimension Neptunia VIIR (pronounced “V-two-R”), coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR on May 8 in North America and May 11 in Europe.

The screenshots show off Megadimension Neptunia VIIR’s updated battle system that improves on the features introduced in 2016’s Megadimension Neptunia VII. Additionally, the screenshots show off a bit more action with some of the special skill poses that the Goddesses will show off in battle.

Megadimension Neptunia VIIR features smoother graphics using a new engine, as well as a new battle system that allows players to set each attack combo mid-battle, which will introduce new elements of strategy and resource management. The VR feature in the game allows players to hang out with the goddesses as well as rearrange their own virtual world. This feature can also be used with the PlayStation VR headset. Also, the VR portion of the game will have dual audio options.

The game follows Uzume Tennouboshi who is the last guardian of the Zero Dimension. Her cries for help summon Neptune to her world to assist in bringing peace to the dark universe. Throughout their adventure, they will discover the mysterious evil known as the Dark CPU.

In case you missed, Neptunia series star Neptune is now playable in another title, Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash.
