Megaton Musashi by Level-5 Set to Make an Appearance at Jump Festa 2020 This December

Maybe we'll finally get a release estimate for mecha RPG Megaton Musashi.

We learned today via magazine leaks that Level-5’s mecha RPG Megaton Musashi will be making an appearance at Jump Festa 2020, held on December 21-22 2019. Level-5 announced so in next’s week’s issue of Shonen Jump Magazine. As usual, information from the magazine leaked early and has been shared.

I clearly remember reporting something similar last year. The only thing we got from Megaton Musashi’s Jump Festa 2019 appearance was a new trailer, included below.  The game still has no release estimate, not even a broad “2020”.

Megaton Kyu Musashi, to cite its full name, is supposed to be a new “multi media” project by Level-5 after Inazuma Eleven and Yo-Kai Watch. Meaning it’ll not only include a game, but also an anime, toys, and other products.

This past year, Level-5’s CEO Akihiro Hino spoke multiple times on the many delays Level-5 games have been suffering from, including the forever delayed Ushiro. He most notably mentioned level-5 completely reviewed its development process and re-announced the next Inazuma Eleven game under a new name. Taking all this into consideration, hopefully, Megaton Musashi is now on the right track.

An updated version of Yo-Kai Watch 4 is launching on PS4 and Switch this December in Japan.

Inazuma Eleven Heroes Great Road is set for Spring 2020 in Japan, on PS4, Switch, iOS, and Android.
