Metal Gear Online (or Metal Gear Online 3) will be available as a free update to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on October 3rd, and at Tokyo Game Show I had a chat about it with Community Manger Robert Allen Peeler.

Peeler talked about what kind of post-launch support we can expect, what the folks at Konami are doing to grant us a smooth day one experience, and about the gameplay of the new online experience of the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

You probably know that Metal Gear Online brought home our trophy as the best shooter game at Tokyo Game Show, so you can easily guess that I loved what I played. Hopefully we’ll get a smooth launch, but the gameplay is really, really promising.
