Konami has announced the release date for upcoming Metal Gear Online expansion Cloaked in Silence as March 15, 2016. Revealed earlier this year, Cloaked in Silence will be bringing four new maps, playable character Quiet, and new appeal actions to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s multiplayer component. A new game mode, Sabotage, will also be available when the expansion releases, though it will be free for everyone.
Another new mode, named Survival, will be launching on April 7, 2016, and players with Cloaked in Silence can participate for an unlimited amount of plays. However, if you do not own the expansion, you can only play the mode ten times before having to wait for the reset that will come along with every Tuesday’s maintenance session.
In SURVIVAL, players create a team of 6 or join an existing team. The main objective is to aim for consecutive wins over several matches where the map and mission criteria is selected randomly. You will obtain the reward depending on the number of wins until you lose, or by winning 5 times in a row.
You will be able to purchase the expansion pack for $3.99 which includes the four maps, Quiet, and unlimited Survival play. You can get the four new maps separately if you so desire, as well as the appeal actions which can be purchased individually or in a pack at $1.99 and $6.99 respectively. The complete Cloaked in Silence bundle costs $10.99 and has an added bonus of 500MB coins. This bundle will only be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
