Multiplatform equality is only sought out by those who owe no particular allegiance to any particular platform and I think that's a legit point of view. That's why I think the bonuses that will accompany either the Japanese PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the Metal Gear Solid HD collection are rather shady. PS3 players will get a download code for the first MGS game from the PSN store, a solid bonus. Xbox 360 owners on the other hand will get an item for their avatars. That is all.
Now we certainly can't feel too strongly about this because MGS is already available on PSN and not Xbox Live, but that really doesn't make it seem any better.Though I suppose we could always take the optimistic approach and consider that the bonus could have simply been nothing. The MGS HD Collection will be available in Japan in November.
