A little over a week ago Amazon opened pre-orders for the collector's edition of the hotly anticipated upcoming stealth action game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Within days the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the set sold out at Amazon, sending prospective buyers to scalpers to pay upwards of $200 for pre-orders, twice the original MSRP. GameStop opened pre-orders for the CE yesterday and by close of business they were sold out of the PS4 version. At the time of this writing, you can still pre-order the Xbox One version of the the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Collector's Edition at GameStop.

If history has taught us anything, its that if you want it you'd better pre-order it while you can lest you pay the toll of eBay. Metal Gear Solid V launches in September.

Update: The game appears to be popping in and out of stock for PS4 at GameStop's website, available at the time of this update. What's clear is that it is unlikely to remain available for a long period of time, so fans interested should jump at the chance.
