Konami has announced that the latest installment in the Metal Gear Solid franchise has shipped one million copies.
This figure is for the amount of copies that have been shipped and not sold. It also doesn’t reflect on how many copies have been bought digitally.
Although I thought it was great (check out my review of the game), Ground Zeroes was met with some controversy. First there was the fact that the main mission of the game could be completed in less than two hours which angered some gamers. The most recent controversy comes from some of the audio tapes found in the game which have a female being raped and tortured.
Recently, Konami announced that all of the console exclusive DLCs for the game would be available to all on May 1. These DLCs include the PlayStation exclusive “Déjà Vu” and the Xbox exclusive “Jamais-Vu”.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is currently available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It’s sequel, The Phantom Pain, will be released sometime in the future.
