Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain “Debriefing” Video with Hideo Kojima Will Make You Shed a Tear

Hideo Kojima accomplished his mission. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is now on the store shelves, and after every mission, it’s time for the debriefing.

Konami just published a video in which Kojima-san himself talks with some of those who were involved with the game, reflecting on development and on the feelings it caused.┬áThe video reaches its climax with a “final report for a very special person,” and with Kojima-san’s own message.

If you manage to see this to the end without shedding a tear, you’re definitely less of a crybaby than I am. You can test your fortitude below, alongside a second video which is maybe less moving, but no less interesting.

You did well, Kojima-san. Mission accomplished. Now you can rest, at least until the next great game.
