Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Update Allows You to Play as Quiet
Gamers who enjoy a stealthy approach to gameplay can now play as Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V new update, where you can snipe until your heart is content.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has released an update today. The new update adds new features to the game’s online competitive multiplayer mode, FOB missions and now you can play as Quiet, who is a tactical, sharp-shooting companion. She is the game’s primary female protagonist who supports Snake in both infiltration and combat.
Quiet’s abilities range from lightning-fast movement speed, cloaking which activates when she is staying still, killing her foes with extreme efficiency and deadly precision, and the skill to “breathe” through her skin rather than her lungs, negating any instability issue caused by breathing too much while sniping.
In addition, Konami has also added new development items designed to aid you in your missions. All of these are Online Development items, meaning their development continues even when you are away from your game system or PC. You can also use earned MB Coins to shorten the development time.
Renov-Ickx bis Sniper Rifle – Sniper rifle that fires rounds that penetrate obstacles. Boasts extremely long effective range and exceedingly high stopping power and penetration. * Only usable in FOB Missions
Renov-Ickx bis Sniper Rifle (Non-Lethal) – Sniper rifle that fires rounds that penetrate obstacles. Boasts extremely long effective range and exceedingly high stopping power and penetration. * Only usable in FOB Missions
Dark Matter Generator – Emits a massive ball of dark matter that blocks light. Ball inflicts damage on any enemy that comes into contact with it. * Only usable in FOB Missions
Stun Dark Matter Generator – Emits a massive ball of stun dark matter that blocks light and has a stun effect. Ball knocks out any enemy that comes into contact with it. * Only usable in FOB Missions
Energy Wall – Generates a protective shield that temporarily nullifies shots, stun effects, sleep, and markings. Shield will dissipate if it takes a certain amount of damage. * Only usable in FOB Missions
You will also earn more event points from the new “Event FOB [HARD]” difficulty. In “Event FOB” missions, there is no risk of retaliation (no defending player will invade your base later as revenge), so you can steal materials and abduct staff without fear of repercussions.
Today’s update for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available for PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
