Metal Wolf Chaos is a 2004 original Xbox game from FromSoftware. The cult classic was exclusive to Japan, making it incredibly tough to find. The team at Devolver Digital has seen fit to grace the world with a modern remake this week. To celebrate, they’ve put out one of the best anime trailers you’ll see. Check it out below.

In Metal Wolf Chaos XD, you play as the US President fighting back against a coup d’etat being led by his Vice President. Fortunately for the President, he has access to an advanced mech that he can use to battle against the unjust revolution. Players will fight across places like the Brooklyn Bridge, the Grand Canyon, and the steps of the White House.

This being a FromSoft game, you can expect heavy action. With it also being a Devolver release, look forward to bombastic production values that are sure to turn heads. The remaster will feature “updated visuals, refined gameplay, a new save system, and support by 16:9 4K”. All in all, it’s looking like a fun package that does the admirable job of making the game available to a much wider audience.

If you’re not already sold, watch the gameplay trailer at the bottom of this post. I won’t say the game is for everybody, but it certainly looks promising if you’re into wacky action games. I’m really looking forward to this one as I’ve only ever heard good things about it.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD is out August 6 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
