This week's issue of Famitsu Magazine had a feature on BitSummit 7 Spirits and Metal Wolf Chaos XD, the upcoming Devolver Digital rerelease of Metal Wolf Chaos. In its pages, Famitsu listed Metal Wolf Chaos XD was coming in 2019 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and now Switch.

However, Devolver Digital didn't make such an announcement themselves, and it later turned out that Metal Wolf Chaos XD is actually not coming to Switch. Turns out that was a typo from the Japanese magazine.

A few hours after the issue launched, Famitsu corrected itself on Twitter, stating that the Switch listing of Metal Wolf Chaos XD was a mistake.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD is a cult mecha action game by FromSoftware, remembered by two facts: it only ever only released in Japan, and it has a crazy political story featuring the  47th President of the United States Michael Wilson fighting his evil vice-president. I would have loved to play it on a portable so that's a bummer.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD will be among the many games featured at BitSummit 7 Spirits. The event gives the spotlight to indie game developers of Japan and abroad and is now pretty much one of the biggest game events in Japan along with Tokyo Game Show. It'll be held on June 1 and 2 in Kyoto.
