A new listing on the PEGI rating website seems to indicate that we could be seeing Metro Redux arriving on the Nintendo Switch. Originally, the 4A Games developed Metro 2033 launched back in 2010. It was followed by Metro: Last Light in 2013. A year later in 2014, Metro Redux was released, containing the two original titles, only with more enhancements to the games, such as improved graphics, animations, and AI.

The listing is slated for the Nintendo Switch and has a release date for December 31, 2019. Of course, this is just a placeholder as we're in 2020 obviously now, When official news comes out about the port we'll know for sure.

Last year we saw Metro Exodus launch on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 and the game went on to become one of THQ Nordic's largest launches, with an unannounced title in development.

Metro Redux allows players to play through the game with two unique play-styles known as Spartan, and Survival, as well as the legendary Ranger Mode. The games themselves are a blend of action and survival horror and are based on the novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky who has also had a helping hand in creating the games. Glukhovsky has also confirmed that he is going to be working on the next Metro game.

As for the fact it's a Nintendo Switch port, I have high hopes for it, especially after seeing how well The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Alien: Isolation look on Nintendo's console.
