May 22, 2014

Today, 4A Games and Deep Silver announced Metro Redux, a completely re-mastered collection of the first-person survival horror games Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light.

The new HD editions will have upgraded graphics, 60 FPS gameplay, and new content. Metro 2033 will be brought up to snuff with the its sequel to include  advanced lighting, better animation for the characters, advanced enemy AI, and more details added to smoke, fire, and other particle effects. Weapon customization will also be added as well as silent kills and enemy takedowns.

Despite coming out just last year, Metro: Last Light will also have graphic and gameplay overhauls done to it as well as include all previously released DLC.

Two unique play styles will also be made available; Survival and Spartan. Survival mode will have limited resources, a slowed reload speed, and more intelligent enemy AI while Spartan mode will have an abundance of resources and stronger combat skills.

Both games will be available for purchase separately for $24.99 or together for $49.99 on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
