To celebrate the release of Metroid Dread, check out this very cool cosplay of Samus Aran – just look at the detail on that Power Suit!

Even if you have never played Metroid, you will have heard of this iconic game first released on the NES in 1986. Many believe the title to be one of the best video games of all time where it even developed its very own comic books and manga series.

As fans start to dip their toes back into familiar territory with the latest edition Metroid Dread, there’s nothing better than taking a look at the protagonist of the popular title Samus Aran as she is brought to the real world.

Taking Samus Aran to another World

For those who aren’t too sure who or what this Samus Aran person is, let me fill you in a bit. Samus is a human bounty hunter employed by the Galactic Federation who uses her power suit to hunt down space pirates and other dangerous forces.

Cosplayer Hendo who is well known in her field for some of the best costumes around takes on the kickass hunter. Not wanting to do anything by half, Hendo also brings Samus’ Power Suit into play that showcases crazy details.

On Hendo’s right arm you can see the power beam used to blast foes out of the way. From there, check out the detail on the helmet which is one of Samus’ most important protections as it enables her to breathe safely in alien environments. I’m not too sure how long it took to create this suit but however long it was, it was most certainly worth the time.

You can take a look at all of Hendo’s cosplays over on Instagram where there is always something for everyone.

Metroid Dread is available on the Nintendo Switch right now.
