Mew-Genics Will Feature Side Characters that Switch Out on a Weekly Basis

Back in January I reported on a mysterious gif and plot details for the game Mew-Genics. Now, more information is being revealed about the other characters in the game.

Co-creator Edmund McMillen announced via the developer’s blog that Mew-Genics will feature side characters that will switch out depending on the time and day of the week.

“Most of these new side characters will appear and ask something of you,” McMillen explained.

Each side character will play a different role that furthers the story and help assist with specific tasks like “break[ing] into the cat genetics lab.” Some characters will go completely unseen, only interacting with players through a series of letters.

Mew-Genics will release on Android, iOS and PC via Steam. A release date has not been announced.

Former genius and a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery, Dana Abercrombie has been playing video games since birth (yes birth...we did say "genius"). Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate about video games and films often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
