After quite a wait, fans of Super Smash Bros. can wait no more - the psychic veteran Mewtwo has returned and if you were one of the lucky Club Nintendo users to take advantage of a special offer, the menacing Pokemon is now available to download as of today.

Nintendo has officially released download codes to Club Nintendo users today for the new Mewtwo character DLC for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U - if you registered both copies of the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game prior to March 31st, 2015 on Club Nintendo, check your email today for your download code alongside a new update for both titles.

Don't fret if you didn't get the special offer in time - Mewtwo will be available to the general public as DLC for both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game on April 28th, 2015, with Mewtwo retailing for $3.99 for one version of the game, and $4.99 for both versions of the game.

Presumably, Mewtwo will be just the first of (hopefully) many DLC characters coming to both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros., as Nintendo announced earlier this month during a Nintendo Direct broadcast that Earthbound's Lucas will return to Super Smash Bros. in June.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U are both available now - Mewtwo has now been released today for Club Nintendo offer users, while he will release to the public on April 28th, 2015.
