Wales Interactive has announced its next FMV project for PC, console, and mobile, and it's something a little different. It's still an FMV video game with live-action performances, but there will be a stronger focus on action this time around.

Mia, bored in the same old day-to-day barmaid job, wishes her life could be a little more adventurous. But, to keep the status quo and her life steady, she reluctantly accepts life as it comes. Until one day a woman on the run from a group of thugs turns up and injects some much-needed excitement and drama into her humdrum existence.

Unlike previous Wales Interactive interactive video game movies, Mia and the Dragon Princess will push more action on the viewer/player as Mia and her workmates are held hostage at the bar by the fearsome thugs and their leader, portrayed by Paul McGann, a veteran of British television and film.

As is expected, Mia and the Dragon Princess will feature 10 different endings that will play out depending on the choices made by the player throughout the course of the story. That's 10 potential playthroughs, which is more than many games offer these days, unfortunately.

Mia and the Dragon Princess is being backed by some considerable talent, not just in its diverse cast, but also behind the scenes.

The leading cast features well-known television and film actors and actresses, such as Paul McGann, Brian McCardie, Dita Tantang, Noa Bleeker, and MyAnna Buring.

Behind the camera, Marcus Shakesheff, the world-renowned fight coordinator for movies including Wonder Woman, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and Guardians of the Galaxy has helped create the on-screen action sequences in tandem with Aaron Gassor, a Taekwondo instructor and content creator best known online as 'Giner Ninja Trickster'.

Mia and the Dragon Princess is set to release on PC, console, and mobile sometime later this year. At the moment we just have a vague Q4 2022 release window but expect a release date to be announced closer to the time as the marketing ramps up.
