Microsoft Acquires Domain “Xbone.com” After Major Nelson Derided the Nickname

on September 12, 2013 5:19 PM

According to WHOIS’s domain records, Microsoft has recently purchased the domain name Xbone.com. This news comes on the heels of Larry “Major Nelson”  Hryb deriding the nickname on NeoGAF, stating that it was disrespectful and that he “didn’t care for it” himself.

I wonder if this means that Microsoft has finally accepted the Xbone abbreviation, or maybe they just want to cover all their bases. What’s your take on all this?
