Microsoft Advertises its Mixer Game Livestreaming Platform with Funny UFOs

Microsoft is giving some promotion to its Mixer livestreaming platform with a cheesy but rather funny ad.

A few days ago, Microsoft renamed its recently-acquired game livestreaming platform Beam into Mixer, adding quite a lot of rather advanced features to the menu.

Of course, it isn’t easy to take on giants like Twitch without promotion, and the house of Xbox is doing exactly that. They just released a new ad for the platform, and it’s quite funny.

We get to see a gamer visited by a rather cheesy alien with visible costume seams and tactile problems, grabbing a chicken wing and then leaving again, with the “if you didn’t stream it, it didn’t happen” slogan.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Mixer will manage to grab some market share off the more established streaming services. It certainly comes with an interesting value proposition, and features like co-streaming are quite nice. Having the direct support of a platform holder and Windows developer isn’t exactly something to sneeze at, either.

For the moment, you can check out the video below and have a chuckle at the alien costume’s seams.
