Today Microsoft announced that the newly revealed Lamborghini Centenario will be the cover car for the next Forza game, which will be announced at E3 2016.

Interestingly, the news piece mentions only "Forza" which matches the possibility of the next game of the series being Forza Horizon 3, as believed by many. On the other hand, the title of the video you can see below specifically names "Forza Motorsport," but that could frankly be an oversight.

Head of Xbox Division Phil Spencer accompanied the announcement with a statement:

"We’re excited to continue our long history of working with Lamborghini and to be part of their 100-year anniversary by celebrating the Centenario as the featured cover car of the next Forza game. It’s an honor to announce our partnership at one of the world’s biggest automotive shows, and we look forward to unveiling the game at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo.”

The Lamborghini Centenario will also be "first in Forza," meaning that it won't appear in other racing franchises before it appears in Forza games.
