As game generations have gone on and games have grown to often overwhelming file sizes, hard drive space and capacity has become precious to many, with Microsoft now offering a reasonable solution for additional hard drive space in the near future.

During this week's Gamescom 2015, Microsoft announced a new partnership with Seagate to provide special 2TB external hard drives tailored for Xbox One and Xbox 360 that will be arriving later this year.

Along with the enhanced 2TB storage capacity, the new external hard drives will sport the classic green and black coloring of Xbox to match the consoles, along with an embossed "Xbox" logo on the case.

Though no official release date has been confirmed at this time, Microsoft detailed that the 2TB external hard drive will release later this year, and be available through retailers such as Amazon, GameStop, and elsewhere for $109.99.
