Microsoft Research sent us a very interesting video today, starring Principal Software Architect Ivan Tashev as he explains how Kinect was improved for the Xbox One to distinguish sound from noise and to allow the device to easily recognize much more than a limited amount of commands.

The video is quite interesting, and further information can be found on Xbox Research’s own blog, were Tashev goes even more in depth on Kinect’s audio improvements.

You can check it out below, and if you were worried about Kinect’s performance in recognizing your voice, it might make you feel you more at ease.
