Microsoft has been overhauling its services with frequent updates, so it was just a matter of time until they got to Xbox Avatars, and in fact they did.

Announced during E3, and hinted by Phil Spencer a few months ago, the popular alter-egos of Xbox One and Windows 10 gamers will get a full restyling in the ways they appear and animate and in how they can be customized.

The goal is to let players express themselves however they want with clothes, body types, skin tones, emotions, and props, including wheelchairs, artificial limbs, vehicles and more.

In order to show a glimpse on what you can do with the new avatars, Microsoft revealed a full trailer, and it's as colorful and diverse as you can imagine. The animations are particularly impressive, and it'll be interesting to see if they'll actually translate one to one to your Xbox One and PC.

The new features will come with an update scheduled for this fall.
