The Xbox team has been on a bit of a hiatus in updating the Xbox One’s core software, as the holidays were dedicated to making sure that everything worked for the many new owners of the console, and on adding features for developers. Looks like the same will happen next month, while more features for end users will come in early 2015:

Spencer also mentioned that he’s excited to talk about Windows and Xbox plans during the Windows 10 event that will come on January 21stth.

He also expressed his respect for the Microsoft executive and engineers that left the team this year:

Finally, he also gave his opinion on Tenchu Z, mentioning that simply there aren’t enough teams to do everything, so Microsoft has to seek a balance between remakes and new games.

Personally, while I know that Tenchu Z wasn’t universally loved, I must be one of the few that actually liked it. Or maybe I’d just love to play another Tenchu. The original developer of Tenchu and Tenchu 2 Acquire expressed the will to return to consoles, so you never know…
