Microsoft’s New Leadership is “Extremely Committed” to Xbox Going Forward, Phil Spencer Promises

There have been rumors about Microsoft’s new leadership seeking ways to spin off the Xbox franchise, but Microsoft Game Studios Honcho Phil Spencer disagrees, as he told at SXSW14, where he’s being interviewed by Geoff Keighley.

Twitter user Todd Lutz just relayed a snipped from the panel (retweeted by Keighley himself, so it’s quite reliable) with the following:

Phil spencer @XboxP3 says new MS leadership “extremely committed” to Xbox going forward.

Lutz also mentioned that Spencer gave a “nice historic perspective on Microsoft and early game development.”

Unfortunately the interview is not being streamed online, but it will become available at a later time, and we’ll definitely let you know about its contents when that will happen. In the meanwhile, if you own an Xbox One, looks like you can rest easy, as Microsoft is committed to turn your console into a success.
