Today, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer Monolith Productions announced Middle-earth: Shadow of War. And now only a few hours later different special editions of the game have surfaced, as well as preorder bonuses and DLC details.

If you plan on picking up Middle-earth: Shadow of War in August when it releases, you will have the option of four different versions. First is the standard $59.99 USD edition. This is your normal, standard copy of the game.

There will also be Silver and Gold Editions of the game for $79.99 USD and $99.99 respectively. And lastly there will be a $300 Mithril Edition available in limited qualities.

The Silver Edition includes: the Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion, the Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion, and Silver War Chest. Meanwhile, the Gold Edition includes both expansions found in the Silver Edition as well as The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion and The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion. Additionally, rather than the Silver War Chest, it includes the Gold War Chest.

The Mithril Edition includes everything found in the Gold Edition, as well as the following: a Limited Edition 15” Tar-Goroth Balrog vs. Carnan Drake Statue, an Exclusive Steelcase, a Collection of Exclusive Lithographs, a Premium Case with Magnetic Ring of Power, an Official Game Music Soundtrack, a Cloth Map of Mordor, and the Exclusive Mithril War Chest.

The Mithril Edition, at least in the United States, is exclusive to GameStop.

As you will notice there are four planned expansions: the Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion, the Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion, The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion, and The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion.

The Nemesis Expansions include a new Orc Tribe featuring new enemies, followers, missions, abilities, weapons, Fortress and wilderness updates, and a Mythic Gear Set. Meanwhile the Story Expansions introduce a new campaign, playable character & abilities, side missions, enemies, allies & more.

If you decide to preorder the game you will receive the following: the Legendary Champions War Part and the Exclusive Epic Sword of Dominion. Additionally, pre-ordering via the PlayStation Store in North America gets you a Shadow of War theme.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set to launch for Xbox One, Project Scorpio, PC, PS4, and PS4 Pro, on August 22, 2017 in North America, and on August 25th in Europe. Notably, the title will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Further, it’s unclear if it will launch for Project Scorpio on these dates, because Microsoft’s upcoming console still doesn’t have a release date.
