Middle-earth: Shadow of War fans are soon going to experience the continuation of the story of the game thanks to the story DLC Blade of Galadriel, and today, during a livestream, Monolith showcased the first look at the opening cutscene.

Since this is basically the sequel of the game’s campaign, there are massive spoilers in the video and in the following paragraphs, so if you have not played or finished the game yet, and want to go in blind, simply do yourself a favor and go back to the front page.

The Blade of Galadriel DLC will launch next month, and will prompt players to take control of the titular Blade of Galadriel (duh!), Eltariel, as she is sent right back into the action to finish what she has started.

As you can see in the cutscene below, Galadriel isn’t exactly pleased, and while Eltariel wants to just go home, her mistress isn’t having any of it. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this will affect the ending of the main game, which personally left me a little unsatisfied.

If you can’t resist, you can check out the video below.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to learn more about the game, you can read our review.
