Middle-earth: Shadow of War Gets New Trailer Showcasing its Vast Open-World
Today, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer Monolith Productions released a new Middle-earth: Shadow of War trailer showing off it’s vast-open world for the first time.
More specifically, the new trailer introduces viewers to the vast environments within Middle-earth, stretching beyond Mordor, and giving fans the first glimpse of various new enviroments to explore, including the Island of Nurn, Cirith Ungol, Gorgoroth and more. According to Monolith, through the innovative Nemesis System, “every player experiences a unique world to explore and share and every area of the world is larger, more varied and more dynamic than ever before.”
For those that don’t know: Middle-earth: Shadow of War trailer is set between the events of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Further, it is an open-world action RPG that continues the original narrative of Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor, one of the 2014’s most popular games among both gamers and critics. With the sequel, “players will be engrossed in a richer, more personal and expansive world full of epic heroes and villains, iconic locations, original enemy types, more personalities and a new cast of characters with untold stories.”
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set to launch for Xbox One, Project Scorpio, PC, PS4, and PS4 Pro, on August 22, 2017 in North America, and on August 25th in Europe (it’s unclear if it will launch for Project Scorpio on these dates, because Microsoft’s upcoming console still doesn’t have a release date).
