Midway Games Disappear from Xbox Live

By Drew Mills

Just like that, Midway Games are gone forever on Xbox Live. The list of games include the following:

Cyberball 2072, Defender, Gauntlet, Joust, Root Beer Tapper, Smash TV, Paperboy and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

You can still buy codes for these games from Amazon, but it remains unclear whether those codes will work. My recommendation is that you hold off on trying to purchase the codes via Amazon, as they probably won’t work. Oddly enough, the titles still remain on the Playstation Network. Hmmm.

It’s kinda funny, actually, because today I was making room on my 20gb hard drive to clear up room for Winterbottom and nearly deleted my Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 game. Phew, dodged a bullet there. Though, the fact remains that I really need to get a 60gb hard drive.

Though he is typically playing games from this current generation, he'll still bust out classic consoles for a night of nostalgic gaming. If he is not studying or gaming, he is usually out working on his photography. Thinks sleep is for the weak. Favorite Games: Metal Gear Solid, Mega Man 2, Goldeneye
