When we announced that a sequel to The Darkness was being developed, all of the fans of the first game were simply overjoyed; myself included. But there was one burning question; will Mike Patton be returning? That answer has been answered today with a very enthusiastic YES. Mike Patton voiced The Darkness in the first game, and it was extremely creepy. I'm very excited that he's returning, and he is as well.

“It feels really good to be the bad guy, and The Darkness is as bad as it gets. I’ve read through the script and Jackie is going to be a brutally tortured soul. I’m looking forward to making his life a living hell.”

If you're not familiar with the name Mike Patton, trust me; you're familiar with his work. If you don't know him from his music endeavors with Faith no More, Mr Bungle, Fantomas, Tomahawk, or The Dillinger Escape Plan, perhaps you're familiar with some of his video game work? In addition to the voice of The Darkness, he has done the zombies in Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, the Anger Sphere in Portal, and Nathan Spencer in Bionic Commando. Oh, and he does those creepy sounds with no effects.
