Minecraft 1.4 is Out, Adds Wolves and Cookies

The latest update for Minecraft is out, and will update your game to Beta 1.4. This latest addition adds Wolves to the game that you can tame which will follow you around and will not despawn, and ARE SO ADORABLE. Not only that, but sleeping in a bed will now make that your new spawn point if you die, and cookies have been added to the game as well! Unfortunately (or fortunately) achievements and stat tracking will not be in this update as it couldn’t get finished in time. I don’t have time to add anything else, because I need to go find me a wolf.

  • Added tameable wolves
  • Added cookies
  • Sleeping in a bed now resets your spawn position
  • New Minecraft logo
  • Holding shift while climbing will hang on to the ladder
  • Spiders will no longer trample crops
  • Lots and lots of infrastructure for Statistics lists and Achievements
