Minecraft Adventure Update to Be Playable at PAX!

Fans of Notch’s amazingly addictive first person virtual LEGO world Minecraft have been patiently waiting for him to release version 1.8 of the game. What’s so special about 1.8?

The most important thing about it is that it’s dubbed “The Adventure Update”, meaning the presence of villages and actual ingame objectives. It’ll bring Minecraft closer to “that other game” Terraria in that aspect.

Notch has been slowly releasing screenshots of the upcoming update, and although it’s clear that it’s quite a ways away, fans can’t help but clamor for a taste of the update. Well, if you’re going to PAX Prime, you actually can; Notch tweeted early yesterday that the Adventure Update would indeed be playable in Seattle.

In a nutshell? Sucks for you poor folks.
