The latest update for Minecraft is now live, updating your game to Beta version 1.6. This update is relatively small as to what it adds to the game, but it fixes quite a bit. In addition to adding craftable maps and hatches, the update fixes many bugs including the popular Minecart Boosters, among other more serious game-affecting issues.

The biggest change is that you can now access the Nether in multiplayer. So craft a map, mine that obsidian and head into hell with your bros to build a new hell-topia! Check out the full list of changes at Notch's blog. Since the launch this morning, four bug fixes have been released, with the latest version being 1.6.4, to see what these updates fixed see these posts.
