Though it has been long rumored, Minecraft is officially coming to the Wii U on December 17, 2015. Mojang made the ‘unexpected’ announcement this morning less than two weeks ahead of the game’s release. The Wii U edition will receive a number of free and paid DLC packs in the future just like all other versions of the game.
The game will cost $29.99 and be bundled with six of the most popular add-ons as well as a festive holiday pack. More information on the contents of the game are expected before its official launch.
