There are few platforms that the mega-popular world-building game Minecraft hasn’t appeared on at this point with the title on everything from PCs and consoles to mobile devices, though it does appear that we may soon be getting a release of the game for the first time on one of Nintendo’s console.
According to a leaked PEGI rating listing, Minecraft: Wii U Edition has been revealed for Nintendo’s Wii U console, indicating that the game will likely make the jump over to the console in the near future.
The PEGI rating currently indicates the release date for today, November 12th, 2015 – developer Mojang and publisher Microsoft have yet to officially confirm a Wii U version of Minecraft at this time, though with an impending Nintendo Direct currently scheduled to air today at 2pm PT/5pm ET, it’s entirely possible this could be a leak ahead of an official reveal later today.
Minecraft is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, iOS, Android, PC, Mac, and Linux, with a Wii U release seemingly on the horizon. Stay tuned for more news and official confirmation following today’s Nintendo Direct.
