At this point, the only things left that CAN’T play Minecraft will be toasters and rice cookers (but both remain delicious) – luckily, if you have a PS Vita, you’ll have another option to play the popular world-building game before having to resort to either option.

Developer 4J Studios announced via Twitter that Minecraft will be heading to PS Vita on October 15th, 2014 for European players, as unfortunately no date has been confirmed yet for the Western release of Minecraft on the Sony handheld.

In addition to the game’s release on Vita, the new edition will also be Cross-Buy compatible with the PS3 version of the game, allowing those that previously purchased the PS3 version to get the Vita version for free – the Cross Buy offer does not extend to PS4, however, and users will still have to buy the Vita version separately.
