Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Confirmed to Allow Save File Transfers from Xbox 360 Version

With Minecraft available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Mac, and shortly arriving on PS Vita and PS4, it’s hard not to find a system that the mega-popular title will be coming to – luckily, fans holding out for the Xbox One Edition will have a nice bonus in store.

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer confirmed via Twitter that “after months of teaming up with Mojang,” the Xbox One Edition of Minecraft will allow save file transfers between the upcoming new version and the Xbox 360 Edition of the title. Minecraft: Xbox One Edition was originally announced at last year’s E3 2013 and is expected to release in 2014, with Spencer promising that more news about the upcoming version of the game will be coming soon.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition releases in 2014 – stay tuned for more information and details as they come up.
